Centering Pregnancy is a unique and supportive program where you, as an expecting parent, can learn about the exciting and dynamic changes happening during pregnancy. It’s also a wonderful opportunity to connect with others who are experiencing similar changes and have comparable due dates.
What is Centering Pregnancy?
A Group Prenatal Visit: Instead of the traditional one-on-one appointments, Centering allows you to attend a small, intimate group session facilitated by a healthcare provider.
Personalized and Collaborative: This private space enables you to interact directly with your healthcare provider, ask questions, and share experiences with others on the same journey.
Comprehensive Learning: Topics covered include self-care, nutrition, infant care, understanding what to expect during delivery, and more!
At Jamaica Hospital/Women’s Health Center, our goal is to empower you with the knowledge and hands-on care needed to feel confident and comfortable in your body. We want to ensure that you are making informed choices that support both your health and your family’s well-being.
Why Centering Pregnancy?
Sense of Community: You’re not alone in your journey. You’ll connect with other parents-to-be who are going through similar experiences and due around the same time.
More Time, More Focus: Each group visit lasts 2 hours, giving you ample time to dive deeper into topics that matter most.
Confidence & Comfort: You’ll leave each session with more knowledge and a greater sense of control, helping you make healthier choices for yourself and your baby.
