Committed to Nurturing Healthy Beginnings

About Us

The Allure MediSys Team comprises of individuals who are dedicated in providing patient centered care. We are passionate about breastfeeding/chestfeeding, and we empower our patients with the resources and tools needed to make informed healthy decisions about their bodies and how they decide to respectfully feed their babies. We uphold the highest standard of infant feeding care, as we have been designated as Baby Friendly facilities. The BFHI was founded by WHO and UNICEF and is a worldwide program that was launched in 1991. By obtaining this recognition it solidifies our dedication to helping families get off to the best start in their breastfeeding/chestfeeding journey. Jamaica Hospital Medical Center was first recognized in May 2017 and was redesignated in 2022. Flushing Hospital Medical Center received its first honors in July 2018 and was redesignated in 2023. As Baby Friendly facilities we are bound to adhere to the “Ten Steps to Successful Breastfeeding” which assists us in educating families that allows them to make informed decisions regarding infant feeding.

As of July 2023, we were honored to be one of the recipients of the Breastfeeding, Chestfeeding, and Lactation Friendly New York (BFFNY) grant. The Department of Health h (DOH) designed this grant to bridge the gaps in care in selected priority communities in New York. The five regions identified are Western, Central, Capital, Metropolitan Area and New York City of which eligible racially, and ethnically diverse communities were recognized. With this grant we aim to strengthen our already existing programs and policies regarding breastfeeding/chestfeeding. To do so, we will engage a variety of partners and decision makers to develop and implement plans that not only will serve the community but enhance the livelihood of the population through community engagement.
