Queens Chocolate Milk Café Support group

Chocolate Milk Café is a nationwide support group; it is a peer-led support group dedicated to individuals and families who identify with the African Diaspora. We create a welcoming and sacred space where participants can share experiences, connect with others, and learn in a supportive environment. Our goal is to empower families, particularly within the black community, by normalizing and celebrating the feeding of infants with human milk.

Our group gatherings are currently virtual and are facilitated by two trained International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLC) who are deeply connected to the community in Queens. Our facilitators provide guidance and support while encouraging open discussions about infant feeding, parenting, and wellness. We focus on creating a safe space where you can feel comfortable, understood, and supported by others who share similar cultural experiences and values.

At Chocolate Milk Café, we aim to ensure that human milk feeding is normalized and embraced within Black communities. We want every family that wishes to breastfeed/chestfeed their infant human milk to have the support and resources they need to succeed.
